Recycled Flags

Yesterday was a busy day in NYC for work.  I’ll be doing a blog post next week about the “behind the scenes” look at what it takes to put together one of my TV segments where I share eco-tips and ideas.  But until then, I thought I’d share these interesting pictures I snapped when I ran into the Anthropologie store in Rockefeller Center.

This store always amazes me because there’s a gallery section on the main floor that rotates with different crafts, art pieces and one-offs that can only be found in the store.  This time, there was a selection of British artists with pieces ranging from furniture to ceramic plates to these interested flags made from recycled textiles.

I’m rather fond of this one for the silhouette of the deer.

And a nice play on the traditional flag with different fabrics.

If you’re in NYC, I definitely recommend stopping by this outlet now and then to see what’s on display.  It’s always interesting and always unique and new.   Plus, if you absolutely love something, you can buy it, too.

Happy Friday!

you might like the timothy oulton collection at ABC, if you haven’t already. I did a post on his union jack upholstered sofa.
