Around the House

I was asked recently by a magazine to take some scouting shots of my house, so I thought it would be a good time to share them here.

In one of the bedrooms, I’ve gone from using colorful sheets and have gone back to my clean sleet of white, white, white.    The bedding is a mix of things I’ve collected over the years including some organic cotton covers, white Modal fabric bedding from my own line and even pieces from Ikea that have lasted very well over time.

I like the contrast of the beauty Trove wallpaper with the white sheets.  So easy.

The white color blocked chairs have grown on me.    So, I went ahead and ordered a new dining room table to go in this space.     Did you know my table for the last 4 years has been a very inexpensive metal outdoor table that I just layered tons of tablecloths on?    Yep, time to grow up and get a real table.   It’s coming……

Still thinking stainless steel cabinets for the kitchen.   While the kitchen LOOKS nice, the cabinets are not in the best shape internally.   So, I may bite the bullet and just go for a full on kitchen renovation this Spring…   If anyone wants to talk me out of it, please speak up!

And the craft studio is slowly evolving into a full on photo studio.  I used to have all the photo equipment packed up and put into storage, but we’re constantly shooting!  So it’s just easier to keep it out.    In a weird way, I kinda like the look of all these C-stands in the studio.

Hullo – this is such a lovely post. It’s refreshing, humble and hopeful simultaneously.
Wabisabi in philosophical and feeling-embodiment – just lovely in the way you present every aspect. It is clear you truly dwell there. Would you mind telling me what the name of that Trove wallpaper is? Thank you.
